Embark on an oceanic journey of cultural discovery and artistic expression! This tropical-themed program immerses children in the rhythms, movements, and visual traditions inspired by Pacific Island cultures.
Young voyagers learn authentic Polynesian-influenced dance steps, craft ocean-inspired art, and engage with music that celebrates courage and exploration. Each activity is thoughtfully designed to nurture cultural appreciation alongside creative development.
The week wraps with a “Beyond the Reef” presentation where campers share their creations and perform for loved ones.
Ages 4-8 | July 14-18
Spark your child’s interest in theatre! This introductory camp brings young performers into the world of musical storytelling through a mix of singing, dancing, and creative arts. Children develop basic performance skills while gaining confidence in a supportive group setting.
Our experienced instructors guide kids through simple choreography, familiar show tunes, and the hands-on creation of props and costume pieces that bring characters to life.
At the end of the week, families are invited to an informal showcase—a joyful moment where kids proudly share their work and growing confidence.
Wackadoo! Step into the playful world of the blue heeler pups in this active week of creative exploration. Kids enjoy movement games, music activities, and colourful crafts that build on themes of imagination and friendship.
In our welcoming space, children express themselves through character-inspired activities—from lively “Keepy Uppy” games to collaborative art projects that encourage working together.
At week’s end, parents are invited to a relaxed demonstration where kids share the fun they’ve had and the projects they’ve created together.
Bring light and colour into your child’s summer! This unique camp combines art and simple science as kids play with light, colour, and movement in unexpected ways.
Young artists create glow-stick dances, make blacklight-reactive art, and build light-up instruments—each project encouraging curiosity and creative thinking. Daily activities mix guided learning with free exploration in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
The week concludes with a blacklight presentation where families can see the glowing creations and performances their children have developed.

“My child has been attending Camp monarch for the past 4 summers. It is one of her favourite camps and looks forward to it each summer. The staff are so caring and work tirelessly with the students to ensure they have a wonderful time at camp.
The last two years my child has done the musical theatre camp at camp monarch. All I can say is each year has been better than the last! The first year they put on an amazing edition of Matilda, this year they created a play based on Taylor Swift songs. It is amazing what they were able to create in one week!
My child is always so happy at this camp. I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you to all the staff that help create such a safe and creative atmosphere for our children!”

“My 5yo daughter attended two camps at the Beaches location. She had an amazing time both weeks. Each day was jammed packed with a full itinerary focused on all aspects of the Arts and even touched on mindfulness and Yoga activities.
The crafts were thoughtfully planned and the incorporation of music and dance was beyond my expectations. The staff were so friendly and supportive. They also made sure there was outside activity daily, taking the group down to the beach for activities by the water and a nearby park.
The communication from Kristen the owner was superb leading up to, during and after each week of camp. The sense of community with Camp Monarch is just what you would expect from Leslieville School of Dance. We were blown away by the sense of creativity, imagination and wonder that emerged out of our child in such a short amount of time.
It was by the best camp experience she has had yet! Thank you so much!!!!!”

“I have two children 8 and 12 years old who have both attended camp monarch since they were 3 years old. This camp is hands-down, the best camp for kids that our kids have attended, and they have tried many many different camps.
We love that there is so many options durning the day and such great and caring staff. I give this camp a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend to anyone who asks.”

Our family got to experience the recital for the first time this year. I was blown away by the organization and execution.
Highly recommend”
