Dancer Schedule

For Dancers in Show 1

• 9:30-10:00am – Dancers arrive* and set up in dressing rooms
• 10:00-10:30am – Warm up on stage
• 10:35am-12:30pm – On-stage rehearsal (no costumes, no solos)
• 12:30-1:00pm – Lunch break/get into costumes
• 1:00-3:15pm – Matinee performance (including a 10-minute intermission)
• 3:15-3:45pm – Clear dressing rooms & auditorium

For Dancers in Show 2

• 3:45-4:15pm – Dancers arrive* and set up in dressing rooms
• 4:15-4:45pm – Warm up on stage
• 4:50-6:30pm – On-stage rehearsal (no costumes, no solos)
• 6:30-7:00pm – Dinner break/get into costumes
• 7:00-9:00pm – Evening performance (including a 10-minute intermission)
• 9:00-9:30pm – Clear dressing rooms & auditorium

*Please arrive with stage hair and makeup done. There will be two simple hairstyles for all performers for our showcase since so many dancers will have quick changes. Dancers will wear either a low, slick ponytail with a centre part, or a low, slick bun with a centre part. A spreadsheet will be shared soon outlining the details of hairstyles, tights, shoes, earrings, and any accessories by routine.

Competitive Stage Makeup

RED LIPSTICK shade may include “Ruby Woo” in addition to “Lady Bug”
WHITE EYESHADOW may include “White Frost” in addition to “Gesso”

We recommend using MAC products. MAC is a Canadian company that makes high-quality, long-lasting makeup, and they have products that are designed specifically for stage performers. If you purchase items from places other than MAC (Shoppers, Walmart, Sephora), please be sure to colour match, especially for the lipstick shade.

• Liquid foundation to match your dancer’s skin tone
• Black eyeliner. Liquid recommended. Must be waterproof. MAC brand suggested “Liquidlast 24-Hour Waterproof Liner”
• Matte brown eyeshadow to create contour on the eyelids and cheekbones. Cheekbone contour is only needed for seniors. MAC brand suggested colour is “Cork”
• White eyeshadow to highlight eyes, brows, and cheekbones. MAC brand suggested colour is “Gesso” or “White Frost.” Or, Sephora brand #201 “Let it Snow”
• Matte blush that works with your dancer’s skin tone. MAC brand “Pinch Me” will work for most skin tones.
• Bright red lipstick. MAC brand suggested colour up until this point has been “Lady Danger.” If you already have that colour you may use it again this year. If you are purchasing lipstick for the first time, or replacing the lipstick you have, please purchase MAC lipstick in “Lady Bug” or “Ruby Woo” or use these as a guideline when colour matching.
• Black waterproof mascara
• Black false eyelashes (for FT Inter, FT Junior, PT Inter & PT Senior teams only). We recommend the S7 Demure Natural Lashes – FH2 Competition Lash Collection available at Toronto Dancewear Boutique.
• Eyelash glue (for FT Inter, FT Junior, PT Inter & PT Senior teams only). We only recommend Duo brand “white” that will dry clear (not black). It is sweatproof and does not irritate eyes the way some other brands do. Available at Toronto Dancewear Boutique.
• A makeup caboodle or tackle box is recommended for organizing and transporting competition makeup, accessories, and personal care products.
