Going to dance class for young children can be as much about the outfit as it is about moving to music. For this reason, there is no mandatory uniform for our Creative Movement, Mighty Movers, or Tiny Tappers classes.
Preschool children should wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing or dancewear that allows them to move freely. Leggings or shorts with a form-fitting tank top or t-shirt are acceptable and appropriate. Dancers may also wear a bodysuit (with or without tights).
Our school sells one-piece tunics that have a capped sleeve and attached skirt specifically for girls enrolled in our Creative Movement and Tiny Tappers classes if that is preferable. Elaborate costume pieces and oversized tutus/capes should be saved for designated “dress-up” days.
Creative Movement students may choose between bare feet and ballet slippers for class, but please NO SOCKS. Mighty Movers may choose between clean indoor running shoes and bare feet. And Tiny Tappers will require tap shoes.
